Land-Based Education Consulting Services

Ogema Services supports Indigenous-led land-based education initiatives through strategic planning, governance support, and partnership development. We work with Nations, organizations, and institutions to design programs that are grounded in Indigenous knowledge systems, connected to land and culture, and supported by sustainable governance and long-term implementation frameworks.

Indigenous Curriculum Development Services

Ogema Services supports Indigenous-led curriculum development through strategic planning, governance support, and partnership coordination. We work with Nations, educators, and institutions to develop curriculum frameworks that reflect Indigenous knowledge systems, language, culture, and community priorities, while aligning with educational standards and long-term implementation needs.

Led by Dr. Kevin Lewis and Curtis Pilon-Vinish, Ogema Services provides Indigenous education services designed to support language revitalization, land-based learning, and curriculum development grounded in Indigenous knowledge systems and community priorities. Our work is rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and emphasizes experiential, place-based learning that strengthens cultural identity and intergenerational knowledge transmission.

Through collaboration with Nations, educators, and knowledge holders, Ogema supports education initiatives that are culturally relevant, community-driven, and built for long-term sustainability across both community and institutional settings.

Indigenous Education in Action

Indigenous education is strongest when it is experienced on the land, through language, culture, and lived practice. Ogema Services supports Indigenous led, land based learning initiatives that connect learners to Indigenous knowledge systems, cultural teachings, and community-led education in meaningful, experiential ways.

Through a partnership with Kâniyâsihk Culture Camps, we help create opportunities for hands-on learning that strengthen identity, stewardship, and intergenerational knowledge transfer.

Ogema Services led the development of Long Plain First Nation’s Five-Year Strategic Plan under the Four Pillars Society, a community-driven framework focused on Language, Culture, Wellness, and Heritage. The planning process was grounded in community engagement, Indigenous governance principles, and long-term sustainability, ensuring the Nation’s priorities were clearly reflected in both vision and implementation.

Through this work, Ogema supported the design of a structured, actionable roadmap that moved beyond planning into delivery. The Five-Year Plan directly contributed to the launch of Long Plain First Nation’s first language nest and the development of a dedicated cultural centre, marking a significant milestone in community-led language revitalization and cultural resurgence.

Ogema’s role included strategic planning, governance alignment, budget, implementation sequencing, and capacity support, helping transform community vision into tangible programs and infrastructure that will serve future generations.

Partner with us to advance language revitalization, cultural resurgence, and community wellness.
