Our Story

Building Trust. Advancing Vision. Creating Long-Term Impact.

Ogema Services was founded to support organizations navigating complex governance, economic, and strategic environments with integrity, accountability, and long-term vision at the centre of the work. Rooted in Indigenous leadership and lived experience, Ogema operates at the intersection of Indigenous Nations, governments, and industry, providing strategic advisory and client representation services that are grounded, practical, and outcomes-focused.

O.G.E.M.A Services

Ogema was created in response to a recurring challenge: too many organizations, particularly Indigenous Nations, are asked to make long-term decisions in fragmented environments, rushed, or misaligned with their values and priorities. Too often, advisory services are transactional. Short-term. Disconnected from the lived realities of communities, leadership, and governance.

Ogema was founded to do this work differently.

The name Ogema, meaning leader or chief in Anishinaabe tradition, reflects the firm’s guiding principle: leadership rooted in responsibility, accountability, and service to the people.

An Indigenous-Led, Cross-Sector Firm

Ogema is an Indigenous-led advisory firm, but not an Indigenous-only one.

We work with:

  • Indigenous Nations and organizations

  • Municipal, provincial, and federal governments

  • Non-Indigenous corporations and developers

  • Educational, cultural, and creative institutions

Our strength lies in understanding how these systems intersect, and in helping clients navigate them with clarity, respect, and confidence.
